What skills and experience we're looking for
York High School is seeking a PE Technician to support the delivery of PE lessons by undertaking a range of practical, administrative and lesson-based tasks within the department, ensuring that a safe and well-equipped environment is provided in order to support teaching and learning.
You will have GCSE English and maths qualifications at grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications, a first aid qualification (or be willing to obtain this), and experience of working or volunteering in a sports-based role. In addition to this, you will have knowledge of health and safety legislation, including first aid and risk assessments, and good communication skills with the ability to build appropriate relationships with a range of staff, students and their families.
The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change.
