About the RoleAs a valued member of our People Team, you’ll help us deliver a high‑quality, responsive service built on strong relationships and a genuine commitment to supporting our staff. You will:
- Provide professional and efficient administrative support across recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and the full employee lifecycle.
- Be a trusted first point of contact for People enquiries, offering clear guidance with warmth and professionalism.
- Support safer recruitment and statutory vetting processes to help us create a safe and supportive environment for our pupils.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records with great attention to detail.
- Use your strong IT skills to help us improve and evolve our systems, ensuring our processes are smooth, accessible and future‑focused.
- Positively embrace AI and digital tools, contributing to smarter, more innovative ways of working across the team.
You’ll join a team that values supportive relationships, strives for high standards, and works collaboratively to achieve great outcomes for our Trust community.
What We’re Looking ForEssential- GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
- Experience using HR systems and/or supporting HR processes.
- Strong organisation and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to balance priorities effectively.
- A confident communicator who handles sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong IT skills and confidence in using digital tools to modernise and streamline services.
- Someone who enjoys being part of a supportive, ambitious team and builds positive working relationships.
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards it).
- Previous HR administration experience.
- Experience working in an education environment.

We are part of the Astrum Multi Academy Trust with two school sites, which are within one mile of each other. Lower School is for pupils in Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and Upper School for students in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and 16-19.
Pupils transfer from Gresham Drive to Barley Lane Campus at the end of Key Stage 2 and are supported to do this through a well-planned transition programme.
