Peripatetic Guitar Teacher job summary
Oasis Academy Enfield is a mixed, secondary academy, situated a ten-minute walk from Enfield Lock train station.
Music Instrumental Teacher for Guitar (Peripatetic Teacher)
Hours: as and when required
Contract: Casual
Pay: £30 per hour
We are looking to recruit an inspirational and enthusiastic part time visiting instrumental music teacher for high quality guitar tuition. The successful candidate must be able to prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity Rock & Pop Music Examinations throughout the grades and encourage a life-long love of music and wider participation of music.
The hours of work are dictated by the number of students requiring lessons. There may be opportunities to get involved with other music-making activities in the Academy including the running of extra-curricular ensembles.
The candidate will work alongside members of the music department in the preparation and presentation of Academy ensembles, productions and concerts. The candidate will be driven to developing student engagement and involvement in the wider life of the music department.

Oasis Academy Enfield opened in September 2007 as a new academy. Initially a group of portacabins and a pioneering spirit, the Academy moved into its £30 million purpose-built accommodation two years later on Innova Business Park, 12 minutes walk from Enfield Lock Station.
The Academy has enjoyed considerable success in its 15 year history. In 2018, Ofsted confirmed that we continue to be a good academy.
