The successful candidate will:
  • Be responsible for the learning, progress and achievement of all pupils in their class, ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
  • Demonstrate high expectations of both achievement and behaviour, supporting pupils to achieve their very best.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, rooted in mutual respect, whilst maintaining appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
  • Work proactively and collaboratively with pupils, parents/carers, colleagues, governors and external agencies in the best interests of every child.
  • Fulfil professional duties and responsibilities in line with the Teachers’ Standards and the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
  • Take an active role in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.
