We have a vacancy for a Phase Leader to inspire and motivate pupils and adults in one of our school age phases.
The post holder will initially lead Lower KS2 (Years 3 and 4). You will have class teaching responsibility with regular allocated management time in addition to PPA time.

Position Overview
Whitefield Primary Academy is seeking an inspirational teacher and leader to join our happy, harmonious, and values-based school community. As a Lower Key Stage Phase Leader, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards and ensuring that our curriculum is both challenging and engaging. You will lead your phase team with a commitment to our vision of nurturing independence, resilience, and respect in every child.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
Drive Excellence: Maintain a relentless drive to achieve excellence for all children within the phase.
Whole-School Contribution: Contribute to the leadership of the entire primary phase, collaborating with other Key Stage and subject leaders.
Model Standards: Act as an inspirational leader who maintains the highest professional standards and inspires colleagues to do the same.
Team Collaboration: Foster a supportive and collaborative working environment within your phase team.
Teaching and Learning
Exemplary Practice: Maintain a track record of effective, good, or outstanding classroom practice.
Curriculum Development: Ensure the curriculum reflects the school’s high standards and places reading at its heart to broaden pupils' cultural horizons.
Experiential Learning: Support the delivery of "WOW" experiences, trips, and our Forest Schools programme to provide real-life writing contexts.
Pupil Progress: Ensure all provision helps pupils make excellent progress, regardless of their starting points or barriers to learning.
Inclusion and Wellbeing
Inclusive Ethos: Ensure every child’s voice is heard and valued, providing equity of opportunity for all.
Nurture and Support: Work alongside our dedicated Family and Nurture Teams to support the wellbeing of children and their families.
Community Engagement: Uphold the school’s position at the heart of the community, ensuring families feel a true sense of belonging.

The successful candidate will be:
A Creative Practitioner: A reflective teacher whose creativity inspires and enhances teaching and learning.

Highly Organised: Demonstrating strong organisational skills to manage both classroom and leadership responsibilities.
