Phonics Champion job summary

26.25 hours per week (8.45 – 2.30), 5 days per week, working 38 weeks per year Grade E

(FTE £27,711 – Pro Rata Annual £16,549.48)

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Phonics Champion to join our friendly, and dedicated team.

We are looking for an individual who is

promote our school ethos for phonics and early reading through a positive and energetic approach

able to engage and motivate children to read, role modelling excellent practice

highly skilled in RWInc, delivering groups, class sessions and interventions across all stages of the programme

support with the assessment of phonics ranging from assessments in the moment to the formal half termly assessment points.

work as part of our phonics teaching team and being confident to share good practice to support other staff development in this area.
