Physical Education job summary

The PE Teacher role at Seva School is an opportunity to inspire a passion for physical activity, teamwork, health and wellbeing across an all‑through setting from Reception to Year 11. You will deliver high‑quality, engaging PE lessons that develop pupils’ physical skills, confidence, resilience and understanding of lifelong fitness, while modelling the school’s core values of Selfless Service, Excellence, Virtues and Aspiration.

A key part of the role includes developing Schemes of Learning, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum, and contributing to the school’s A.C.E programme. You will maintain accurate records of progress and attainment, use data effectively to inform planning, and provide constructive feedback to help students improve. You will also organise and lead sporting excursions, fixtures and events, ensuring risk assessments are completed and that activities remain safe and inclusive.

Beyond curriculum PE, you will play a central role in strengthening the school’s extracurricular sports offer by running clubs, supporting competitions and creating opportunities for students to excel outside the classroom. You will also contribute to whole‑school expectations, including supervision duties, lesson cover, and supporting the wider environment with professionalism and consistency.

This role is ideal for a reflective, energetic and inspiring practitioner who is committed to high standards, team collaboration, continuous development, and promoting a positive culture of physical education and sport across the whole school.
