Physiotherapy Assistant job summary
Grand Union Village is an 80-place primary special school for children 4 - 11 years with severe learning disabilities, profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex needs, including autism.
Grand Union Village will be based on Ballinger Way, Hayes, Northolt. UB5 6GG.
The school is designed to accommodate the latest developments in child-centred learning and therapy provision for children including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory provision and purpose-built therapy rooms, which will provide additional learning and sensory opportunities for our pupils.
We are seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant to join us at this exciting stage. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a new school and to support the development of its culture, systems, and practices from the outset.
The role
As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting children with a range of special educational needs, by supporting the delivery of Physiotherapy for pupils attending Grand Union Village School and be trained and overseen by qualified Physiotherapists in the delivery of specific therapy programs.
This role also includes supporting and overseeing Manual Handling within the school.
Full training, induction and support will be provided.
