PI High Needs Teaching Assistant 25 hours per week job summary
We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the Physical Impaired (PI) team at the school. You will provide support in all subject areas, as well as working with students on a 1:1 and group basis. Although you will be based in PI you may also be asked to support students in the Mainstream Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (MSEND) and Specific Learning Difficulties units.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with SEN students, preferably in a secondary environment. Teamwork is an essential aspect of the post, as is the confidence to support students in their progress through the curriculum. Good organisational skills, flexible working practices and patience are also essential. Confidence and sensitivity are essential in providing often intimate personal care, management of personal care plans and delivery of medication – training will be provided for successful applicants.
