Play Lead & PE Coach job summary
- Provide PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover through engaging and inclusive PE lessons
- Promote physical activity and wellbeing throughout the school
- Collaborate with staff to develop and implement engaging play and PE opportunities for all pupils
- Plan, deliver and assess a broad, balanced and inclusive PE curriculum
- Organise and lead school teams in external sports competitions, building positive relationships with other schools and agencies
- Supervise, support and enhance purposeful play during lunchtimes, training and mentoring lunchtime staff as appropriate
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons during PPA cover, tailored to the needs of all pupils
- Develop and promote whole-school initiatives and projects to increase physical activity and wellbeing
- Work closely with teaching and support staff to embed active play and PE into the wider curriculum
- Monitor effective use of qualified coaches in support of school sport programmes across the school
- Monitor the ability of coaches to work appropriately with young people in a school-based setting.

To maintain appropriate assessment records, data collection and monitoring information.
To implement appropriate Health and Safety policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe, effective and child friendly environment in all lessons and activities
To maintain current knowledge of National Curriculum PE, governing body and other relevant agencies programmes, policies, guidance and advice.
To fully participate in CPD activities.
To carry out any task that is commensurate with this post and as directed by the Headteacher

This role is based in the UK.
