About this Role

At Canon Popham C of E Primary School, we are looking for a friendly, dedicated, and caring individual to join our lunchtime/play team. We are committed to providing a high-quality, safe, and nurturing environment for our pupils.

The Role

  • Supervision: Monitor children in the playground or school field during lunchtime to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Activity Planning: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative indoor/outdoor play activities suitable for various ages.
  • Engagement: Promote positive play, social interaction, and inclusivity among students.
  • Safety & Welfare: Ensure all areas are safe, manage equipment, and offer support to children, including those with additional needs.
  • Liaison: Work effectively with the wider team and report any concerns to senior staff.

About You

Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is desirable.

A passion for play, creativity, and encouraging active, fun playtimes.

Patient, caring, and able to build positive relationships with children.

A Ability to manage and support children's behaviour positively and consistently.

Strong communication skills are essential.
