The CARE Federation wishes to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic person to support our popular After School Club for Spixworth Infant and Woodland View Junior pupils, based at Woodland View Junior School.  Hours of work, 3.15pm – 6.00pm, Monday to Friday (job share possible).

 

This role will involve working with pupils aged 4-11. The play worker will be responsible for leading play based activities and supporting with the provision of a healthy light meal. 

This role may be suitable for a young worker (age 16+) currently studying a childcare course. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Enjoy facilitating play-based activities and engaging with the children. 
  • Ensure the children are safe and happy at all times 
  • Ensure the children have a nourishing, balanced light meal, and support the preparation of this. 
  • Be able to establish positive and supportive relationships with children, parents and colleagues 
  • Hold, or be working towards, an NVQ level 2 in childcare or equivalent or have relevant experience. 
  • Be willing to undertake additional training for example in Food and Hygiene, First Aid and Safeguarding
