The school:

Dobcroft Infant School is a friendly, welcoming, and creative school with an inclusive ethos. We have a 26 place pre-school and three form entry (90 children in each year) foundation stage two and KS1. The school is in south west Sheffield, in the Millhouses region. We are proud of our children who are enthusiastic, kind and happy.

The role:

Dobcroft Infants have an exciting opportunity for a talented and caring candidate to join our team as a play worker. We are expanding our wraparound provision and you will not only have the opportunity to support children in this role but also to be involved in the development of this provision as it grows to support our school community.

Initially you will be working in a team of two people supporting up to 16 children during both the before and after school provision.

We are a trauma informed school and are therefore seeking someone with a genuine passion for developing positive relationships and a commitment to providing a relational approach to supporting children.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic about working with young children and has a positive attitude.
  • Has experience of working with EYFS and/or KS1 children.
  • Has a commitment to inclusivity.
  • Is committed to providing high quality and enjoyable learning opportunities for pupils.
  • Is an effective and reflective practitioner with a desire to learn and develop.
  • Works well as part of a team and have good interpersonal skills with colleagues, children and parents.
