Playworker Assistant job summary
- Maternity Cover. Term Time Only plus 5 additional weeks
- Working hours in term time are 22.5 hours/week (7:30am-9:00am and 3:00pm-6:00pm)
- Additional weeks to be worked over the holiday periods where our childcare is open over summer, October half term, and Easter
- Working hours in holidays to be discussed in interview (but likely to be condensed to 7:45am-5:30pm)

Whitkirk Primary School is on the lookout for a caring, enthusiastic Playworker to bring energy and creativity to our Breakfast & After School Club this September 2025. You’ll be joining a supportive school community where every role is valued and contributes to our mission: "to be the best that they can be." As a Wraparound Club Playworker, you’ll play an important role in supporting working families and enhancing the school’s extended provision.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working or volunteering with children (in school, clubs, or care settings)
- Is creative, friendly, and confident leading or supporting play-based activities
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and supervision
- Communicates well with both children and adults
- Is organised, dependable, and works well as part of a team
