Job Title: Pool Manager
Location: Peak School, Buxton Road, Chinley, High Peak, Derbyshire, SK23 6ES
Grade/Scale: DCC09 (Point 16): Actual Salary £10,927 per annum
Contract: 15 hours per week, Thursday and Friday - 39 weeks per year (Term Time Only)
We are a nursery to 19 special school academy located in a rural environment in the village of Chinley in the north west corner of Derbyshire. We cater for children and young adults with a whole range of needs, particularly those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), communication difficulties, and those with extremely challenging behaviour linked to their associated learning difficulties.
We are looking to appoint an excellent pool manager to manage the daily running of our Hydrotherapy Pool which is used by some or our pupils and also outsider users/hirers. The Pool Manager will manage all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the school pool and provide effective and high quality instruction for swimming and therapy sessions for all ages and ability. The Pool Manager will report to the Headteacher and will liaise with school staff and pupils and also visitors outside our Organisation in a positive, courteous and helpful manner.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children and young people, have an awareness of the importance and responsibility of keeping children safe in school and have a good work ethic, time management and reliability.
