About you

  • STA Level 2 Award/CertificateorSwim England Level 2 Swimming Teacherqualification.
  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)or equivalent.
  • Pool Plant Operator Certificate (or willingness to train).
  • Experience deliveringinclusive or adaptive swimming lessons.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Commitment tosafeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.

About the Role

  • Plan and deliverengaging swimming and hydrotherapy lessonstailored to pupils with complex needs.
  • Promote water confidence, safety, and therapeutic benefits in collaboration with teachers and therapists.
  • Overseepool safety and compliance, including water testing, plant room checks, and risk assessments.
  • Manage pool timetables, staff rotas, and training for lifeguards and assistants.
  • Maintain accurate records for water quality, pupil progress, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are met at all times.
