You will be working with a range of young people, supporting all students in the sixth form study room, in lessons, on educational trips and delivering interventions in groups and one to one.

The initial focus for this role will be working with Post 16 students in our sixth form centre. However, this may change over time in order to meet the needs of students at Ashton Park School and the successful candidate should be prepared to work with a range of young people from years 7-13.

Our students are keen to learn and are positive about receiving support to enable them to become independent learners. The role of the Learning Support Assistant involves working with young people and children who require additional support within the classroom by creating safe and encouraging environment so they can make the most of their education. The successful LSA will be working on a 1-1 basis or in small groups helping children with their educational, behavioural and social development or supporting pupils whose English is not a first language, have health issues or disability.
