Post 2 Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant- Mereside Church of England Primary Academy job summary
We are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to our academy staff. The role requires applicants to enjoy working with children and as part of a team. The post is fixed term as it is reliant on the external funding linked to an EHCP.
Experience in supporting pupils with attachment difficulties and challenging behaviour is an essential. Further training will be provided in these areas as well. A secure understanding of working using an attuned approach and the impact of adverse childhood experiences on a child are also needed. Mereside are committed to using a restorative approach to behaviour management.
Mereside CE Primary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff to share and demonstrate this commitment. The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the job specifications and will be subject to pre-employment checks including and enhanced DBS, a medical and satisfactory references.
Please note that the ability to communicate easily with stakeholders and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
