An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PPA Cover Supervisor to join Leycroft Academy and part of The Forward Education Trust. The Trust was established in 2017 and is a rapidly growing Multi Academy Trust serving special schools across the West Midland area.
Leycroft Academy caters for pupils with Autism.
Currently the school PAN is 170 and has pupils across KS1 and KS2.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible individual to support and deliver:
PPA cover to plan clear teaching objectives, content, lesson structures and sequences appropriate to the subject matter and the pupils being taught. Record and assess pupils work whilst covering for teachers’ PPA allocated absence.
To supervise whole classes during the unplanned/ unexpected short-term absence of the class teacher under the guidance of senior staff. Including implementing work programmes, managing pupil behaviours, and assisting pupils in relevant activities in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting and assisting pupils with Autism and needs and will be a collaborative worker.
