We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and resilient Full-Time PPA Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team and to plan and deliver high quality PPA cover and drive development in The Arts.

Role Overview:

As a Full-Time PPA Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, inspiring lessons to all year groups across the school, during teachers' planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) time. You will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with colleagues within Boorley and those across the wider Raise Education Trust to enhance our Arts curriculum, developing skills and confidence in our children while promoting a holistic approach to education. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver High Quality Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire students in a variety of subjects, with a strong emphasis on The Arts.
  • Collaborate on Curriculum Development: Work closely with the Art and Music subject Leaders to enhance the Arts curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners and reflects best practices.
  • Inspire Creativity: Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to express themselves creatively and think critically about their work across all subjects.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and support students in setting and achieving their learning goals.
  • Support Pupil Development: Create inclusive and supportive learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of all children, ensuring every individual feels valued, supported and empowered.
  • Engagement in School Activities: Organise and lead extra-curricular activities, workshops and performances that promote The Arts within the school community.
  • Lead the PPA Team: Take the lead for planning and preparing HLTAs to deliver planning to classes and evaluating the impact of this following PPA sessions.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest educational developments, teaching strategies, and best practices in The Arts, actively participating in ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain strong communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues to foster a collaborative community focused on student success.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a teacher, preferably in primary education.
  • Strong knowledge of The Arts and its role in education.
  • High level of resilience to provide consistent, high quality teaching and support to our most vulnerable pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate children to engage in their learning and creative subjects.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and personal growth.

Boorley Park Primary School opened in September 2019.

We have two forms of entry and the school was built to fill the basic need for more school places as existing schools in the area are at capacity or oversubscribed. Our purpose built school provides a safe and nurturing environment for children and sits at the heart of the community in the new housing development at Boorley Green.

We are part of the Wildern Academy Trust which includes Wildern School, a further 7-form entry secondary school is planned to open September 2021. This is an exciting time for the trust and all colleagues present and future.
