is seeking to appoint a part time
Level 2 Pre-School Assistant
Payscale: Grade 2 Point 5 (FTE £23,500 per year, approx. £6372 Pro-rata)
Working 12 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 38 weeks per year plus 5 training days
Commencing: as soon as possible
Elm Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a committed Pre-School Assistant to work in the pre-school team to provide high quality practice and provision.
About You
The ideal candidate will be an individual who:
- Has a childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 2
- A minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience working with children from 2 years
- Experience in a pre-school/nursery setting and being a positive role model.
- A sound knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years.
- A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and the statutory requirements.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Is enthusiastic, ambitious and serious about improving children’s life chances through education
- Is highly organised, conscientious and able to set clear priorities when managing a busy workload
- Can work cooperatively and communicate clearly with fellow colleagues, parents and pupils
- Has a ‘can-do’ attitude and has the ability to use their initiative
- Can work flexibly and professionally
