Pre School Lead job summary
Pixies Preschool is proud to be part of Shillington Lower School which belongs to the Shillington Stondon Federation. It is set in the beautiful grounds of the school in its own dedicated provision. The Preschool make use of the school grounds and main school provisions including hall and library.
Our Preschool provides sessional childcare for children aged 2 years 9 months to up 5 years. Most the children then apply to join our Reception class. Our small professional team are dedicated to ensuring each child receives the highest standard of care and education whilst having great fun along the way. We are open 9am – 3.15pm from Monday – Friday, term time only and offer spaces to up to 20 children.
We are looking to appoint a positive and highly self-motivated leader with a calm and caring disposition and a can do attitude, to join our team. You will be knowledgeable in best practice in the sector; a confident communicator with parents and carers and a team player. The Preschool leader is responsible directly to the Federations’ senior leadership team meaning the role has a high level of autonomy. You will have experience of working in childcare and hold an NVQ3 Childcare & Education qualification or equivalent.
We are seeking applications from people who can work 32.5 hours per week, term time only including inset days.
