About the Role

We are seeking to recruit a highly organised, empathetic and enthusiastic Pre-School Manager to work within our Pre-School setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and implementing a multi-cultural play curriculum to stimulate children’s interest in learning.
  • Assessing and recording the children’s personal, social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.
  • Reporting to parents.
  • Ensuring that staff are properly deployed to offer appropriate stimulation and support to children.
  • Ensuring the Children Act and Ofsted requirements are complied with including action plan formulation and monitoring.
  • Taking responsibility for day-to-day financial matters.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

  • NVQ3 or equivalent in childcare.
  • Experience of working with under-fives.
  • Experience of working within the nursery education and meeting the requirements relating to Ofsted Inspection.
  • Ability to lead a team of adults.

Experience:

  • Experience of working with children under five.
  • Understanding of child development and importance of play.
  • Experience of working in different types of childcare settings.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Good standard of report writing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities.
  • Ability to work a flexible shift pattern.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake professional and personal development.
  • Ability to use own initiative to work with team members in developing a quality accessible service.
