Hemingford Grey Primary School is looking to appoint a classroom teacher to work within our LKS2 team. The school has about 300 children on roll with a pan of 45 in each year group. We have three mixed age classes of year three and four children. Mixed-age classes in KS1 Y1/2 and UKS2 Y5/6 continue through the school. The school operates a Learning Zone model where children access a shared breakout area in each phase. Independent skills of learning are developed in progression across the school in the Learning Zones, whilst taught sessions in maths and English vary in size across school to accommodate the needs of the children. The teachers and teaching assistants work in a strong team to provide the best learning opportunities for the children.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys collaborative working as part of a successful and supportive team to provide excellent teaching for our children. Our school ethos is built around the motto TEAM – Together Everyone Achieves More. Children, families, staff and governors embody this motto alongside our 7 R’s of Resourcefulness, Responsibility, Respect, Reflectiveness, Resilience, Relationships and Risk Taking.
Visits to the school are encouraged and would be very welcome.
