Experience

o Facilities operations role & duties

o Successful Manager as a Facilities / Site Manager

o Health and Safety Experience in a School setting

o Experience of working in a special educational needs school

Knowledge and Skills

o Microsoft Office skills

o Have experience of a range of trades

o Excellent understanding of developments in buildings standards and regulations

o Project management

o Manual handling, DIY, fire marshal, first aid

o Ability to translate buildings, health & safety, security/safeguarding law into policies procedures and best practice

o Ability to direct/manage projects

o Delivering facilities services in a polite and courteous manner regardless of the situation

o Communicating effectively with customers and others and ability to deal calmly with difficult situations

Paddock School is a growing, outstanding and innovative split site school in Roehampton and Putney for pupils with moderate to severe learning difficulties with autism or severe of complex learning difficulties. We currently have over 200 pupils on roll with approximately 180 staff.

We pride ourselves on the warm, nurturing culture of the School and staff share a deep commitment to supporting the individual needs of pupils; every pupil here is known, understood and nurtured. The Assistant Headteacher must champion this philosophy and also possess stamina, mental agility and an approachable, positive outlook. Exemplary inter-personal skills are essential.
