Premises Manager job summary
PolyMAT is a small and ambitious MAT with a unique family feel that is seeking a Premises Manager. Our vision is ‘Success for Everyone’ and the successful candidate will help deliver this for our schools. We currently have three schools in our Trust: Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys, a long-successful boys’ school, Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls that opened in 2019, and Bannockburn Primary School, a large successful primary that joined the Trust on 1st November 2023. We also have our flourishing Sixth Form provision which is co-educational.

Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls is seeking to appoint a hardworking, flexible, and reliable Premises Manager who can work on their own initiative and be proactive in problem solving. This is a busy role, and you will be responsible for a large and complex site that will require you to be proactive and resourceful with demonstrable experience of facilities management, health and safety compliance, and project management.
You will benefit from joining a supportive, well established Premises team, where your skills and qualities will be highly valued.
Experience in a trade, or previous facilities/security management would be a distinct advantage.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- Experience in building and routine maintenance, caretaking and decorating
- Ability to work alone or as part of the premises team
- A personable manner and to have a flexible approach to all duties undertaken
- A good standard of IT skills
- Ability to prioritise work, to act on own initiative, to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Good inter-personal and organisational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and some shift patterns
- Willingness to attend training courses to enhance development and performance
