Premises Officer - Dorothy Goodman Primary School

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: Grade 6 - £25995-26409

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Premises Officer to work as part of the Premises team based at Dorothy Goodman Primary School working across the school sites in order to ensure that the Site maintenance services are of the high standard required.


The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate good practical and organisational skills, a positive work ethic with a commitment to health and safety matters. The candidate will ensure our grounds, buildings,management of waste, facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard, ensuring the necessary legislative and Health & Safety requirements are met and providing a positive learning environment for our pupils. In addition you will implement and maintain adequate security measures and procedures for the site buildings and facilities.

The successful candidate will :

Have experience of premises maintenance including a good working knowledge of Health & Safety, Fire and COSHH regulations.

Have a proven track record of working with and/or within external trades and contractors.

Have strong experience of working with people and members of the general public.

Dorothy Goodman Primary School is part of Open Thinking Partnership and is committed to safeguarding children; successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and will be required to disclose all relevant information for appropriate safeguarding checks

This post is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.
