Pre-school Room Lead – Internal Advert

Mowbray Education Trust Services Limited are seeking to recruit a Pre-school Room Lead to work at Oasis Preschool & Retreat on a permanent basis.

This role is working 30 hours per week, (8:30am – 3:00pm), Monday - Friday, term time only (38 weeks).

We are looking for an individual who feels passionately about all children, having the right to play and activity promoting inclusion. You will have experience of working with a range of deserving families in a variety of Early Years approaches to achieve the very best outcomes for all and understand the Trust’s ethos of ‘Children First’.

You will have previous leadership experience and have a sound knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years, and EYFS, together with an understanding of play-based approaches to children’s learning and development. You will lead a staff team to deliver high standards, and who is an excellent role model to our families, staff and children.

You will be required to assist with the planning of the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and to act as a key person for a small group of children.

Experience of working with young children and a knowledge of child protection is essential. Also experience of working with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities would be essential.

It is essential that you hold a minimum Level 3 early year’s education and childcare qualification or equivalent, however a level 4 qualification would be desirable. Experience of supporting children with language and communication essential along with a Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates. Along with good interpersonal skills, you will be committed to working with young children and families and be able to work effectively as part of a small team.
