About this Role

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Boringdon Primary School

Grade: C

Hours: 17.5 hours per week (38 weeks a year). Working patterns to be discussed at interview.

Boringdon Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to work as part of a newly-formed team, supporting the teaching and learning of our pupils in the new school-based nursery. The person appointed will need to be self-motivated, have excellent communication and organisational skills and a friendly and welcoming manner.

The Teaching Assistant will support the Preschool Teacher in providing an outstanding education to all our children in the setting, ensuring learning objectives are achieved and assisting in the management of pupils and the classroom. They will promote and embed the school’s ethos and values in everyday activities. Work may be conducted in the classroom, in the outdoor area of the Preschool and in our Forest School area.

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Successful in using strategies to engage and enthuse Preschool-aged children
  • Committed to children’s progress and able to make detailed observations of their learning
