Preschool Teaching Assistant

Location: Wootton Primary School Preschool

Contract Type: Fixed Term Maternity Cover, Part Time

Hours of Work: 22.5 hours per week, working pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday - 8.30 - 12.30 and Thursday 8.30 - 3.30

Grade/salary: Level 2 point 4 -5

Proposed Contract Dates: From March 2026 for 9 months with the potential to be increased to 1 year

Wootton Primary School is a caring, forward looking school where each child is challenged, nurtured and inspired to reach their full potential. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to work with our children, some of whom have Special Educational Needs. Ideally applicants will have experience of working in a preschool setting.

We are able to offer beautifully behaved and motivated children, an excellent working environment and a supportive and friendly staff. Visits to the school are strongly encouraged.

Wootton Preschool is a friendly, busy preschool setting which can be found within the Primary School at our Harris Way site. We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, creative and energetic practitioner to work in our preschool provision. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a team, have effective organisational skills and a willingness to contribute to school life. Knowledge of the early years curriculum is encouraged.
