What skills and experience we're looking for
Experience of teaching in the required Key Stage
Experience of teaching across the whole primary stage
Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs
Experience of working with pupils with hearing loss
Has understanding of classroom organisation and learning strategies.
Ability to deliver consistently good or better lessons.
Has understanding of monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ progress.
Ability to communicate orally and write to a high standard
Has understanding of equal opportunities and inclusion.
Can demonstrate effective teaching and learning styles.
Able to promote the schools’ aims positively and use effective strategies to monitor personal, social and emotional needs.
Able to develop good personal relationships within a team.
Able to establish and develop close relationships with parents, governors and the community.

Further details about the role
Marshland High School are seeking a specialist Primary Teacher for one-to-one support for a Year 7 Student with learning difficulties and profound hearing loss within their secondary education. You will have experience of working with special needs children with BSL Level 2 advantageous and work in close collaboration with a dedicated HLTA (with BSL) as part of a wider SEN team.
Salary MPS/UPS as appropriate
We can offer flexibility in relation to your working hours/days, equivalent to 3 days per week.
Working closely with the 1:1 HLTA you will provide education for a child with specific needs ( KS2 but willing to work in a secondary environment due to SEN needs) to differentiate the curriculum & meet the needs of the child across all non-core subjects.
Assessing and reviewing the pupil in line with school policies and working closely with multi-agencies to provide the appropriate programme.
This is to provide an effective education for the pupil within the framework provided by the Headteacher, the Governing Body, DfE and the Local Authority, paying full regard to all statutory requirements.
