Primary Classroom Teacher (Main Scale) + TLR Faculty Leader (Maths) job summary

Dear Reader,

My name is Pritam Kumar Vekaria, and I am the immensely proud Headteacher of Whitefriars School—a fully integrated 3-18 all-through school. In March 2024, we were delighted to be judged Outstanding by OFSTED for our Nursery and Reception (EYFS) and Good in all other areas, including Sixth Form.

We are now seeking a positive, dynamic, and resilient Math Faculty Leader to lead our Primary, Reception and Early years. We highly recommend visiting the school to meet our wonderful Primary staff, students, and Senior Leadership Team.

Our Mission

"To provide an exceptional educational experience for our students, staff, and families—fostering ambitious, highly skilled, and educated positive citizens for our community."

What makes us special is our commitment to working as a unified community in pursuit of this mission.

Why Join Us?

Wellbeing is at the heart of our culture. We are proud to be signed up to the DfE Staff Wellbeing Charter, but for us, actions speak louder than words. Here’s how we support our staff:

  • Ethical and supportive middle and senior leadership team
  • Two-week October half-term
  • Early finish on Mondays for professional development
  • On-site nursery with discounted full-time places for staff
  • Free luxury coffee and hot chocolate machine
  • No teaching on Friday afternoons—enrichment clubs instead, where you share your passions and skills
  • Lead Teaching Hub school
  • Freshly baked pastries every week before staff briefing
  • Exceptional paid leave allowance for childcare and one additional day annually for personal celebrations (weddings, graduations, trips)
  • Marking only three times a year to reduce workload
Our Vision for Students

We prepare every child for a rapidly changing world—global, technology-driven, and full of possibilities. Our World-Class Curriculum reflects the highest academic standards while inspiring creativity and curiosity. We are proudly outcome-driven because education opens doors to opportunity and choice.

Through enrichment events and cultural activities, we provide a well-rounded education that celebrates diversity and unity. Our students will:

  • Be the change they want to see in the world
  • Be courageous and bring light where there is darkness

They will grow into resilient, optimistic, respectful, and honest citizens with a lifelong love of learning.

Our Community

Whitefriars School is built on strong partnerships with families and the local community. We are relentless in our pursuit to serve our community, which deserves the very best. We only employ excellent staff who can deliver inspirational learning experiences every day.

As a Trust, we foster a culture that respects diversity, safeguards wellbeing, and values togetherness. Staff, Trustees, and Directors model this daily, knowing that each of us plays a vital role in making this vision a reality.

Safeguarding & Equal Opportunities

We are an equal opportunities employer. The Heathland Whitefriars Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
