Primary Enhanced Pathways Teacher job summary

Shrivenham CE Primary School, which is part of Cambrian Learning Trust, is a growing and successful school with happy, well-motivated and hardworking children and staff. We have recently moved into our brand-new, purpose-built school, expanding to include a 2-4yr old Pre-School provision. We currently have 280 children on role with increasing numbers as we grow to a 1.5 form entry school.

In February 2025, we established a bespoke provision called ‘The Canopy’ within our new building. This was created to support a small group of children with C&I needs. This provision has been successfully staffed by highly trained teaching assistants and a HLTA overseen by the SENCo, working closely with external professionals including: the C&I Team, Fitzwarren Outreach and OXSIT. The difference that this provision has made to the children who have accessed it, both educationally and social and emotionally has been something we are very proud of.

In the coming months, we are hoping to expand this provision due to a successful Enhanced Pathways application to Oxfordshire County Council. This funding enables us to have a teacher take full responsibility (supported by the SENDCo and highly trained teaching assistants) of this provision. This post will be located at Shrivenham Primary School for the first three years. After this time the post holder will be required to work at other schools within the Cambrian Learning Trust.

What the school offers its staff:

  • A happy and positive working environment in a new building
  • A supportive staff team with a caring and inclusive culture where everyone can flourish
  • A dedicated leadership team who is committed to ensuring staff wellbeing is a high priority
  • Close links with supportive Governors, the local community including the Church and a strong PTA
  • Networking with other staff from across our Trust
  • Work in collaboration with the trust's experienced Inclusion Team
  • Opportunities for continuing professional development including working with staff in other schools, working with wider Trust leaders and accessing support and training from outreach teams such as Fitzwarren and OXSIT.
  • Access to a range of Employee Assist services
