What skills and experience we're looking for

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a tenacious and driven leader to join our Lancashire Star Cluster, which operates several schools dedicated to high-quality education and supports over 300 schools in the region through professional development.

We want to hear from ambitious, talented senior leaders and established Principals who will bring inspirational leadership to our Star community. You will be highly motivated and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people, with the natural ability to inspire and motivate both pupils and peers.

With leadership experience as a Principal or Deputy, you will lead an approach that views every challenge as an opportunity to continually improve educational standards and foster an outstanding learning environment. As a Star leader, you’ll join a high-performing and supportive network of schools with some of the best leaders in education.

The successful candidate will work within the Star Lancashire cluster, where you will have the opportunity to lead a school and shape the future life chances of young people. You will be deployed to lead one of our schools within the region and will be supported with coaching and a best-in-class professional development programme.

You will have:

  • Degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Substantial experience of senior leadership and management within a school setting.
  • Experience of successful leadership of change management within a school.
  • The ability to create, and secure commitment to, a clear vision for an effective and high achieving school.
  • The ability to lead and manage people to work towards common goals.
