Primary SEND Teacher job summary

Crown Street Primary School are currently looking for a dedicated Primary SEND Teacher to join their team, to create an environment in which all pupils flourish. We are looking for a highly effective Teacher to become part of our excellent, hardworking and creative team who can contribute to our commitment to providing exceptional teaching and learning experiences.

Our curriculum, and the way in which we deliver it, instils a passion for learning in all our pupils and equips them for successful lives beyond our walls. We consider Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) and the Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development of our pupils to be a priority. Our curriculum is intended to teach children the essential knowledge they need in all subject areas and to equip them for successful lives beyond our walls, opening doors to the future of their choice – whatever that may be!

Our ambition is for all pupils to develop a full appreciation of the world in which they are growing up and to feel a sense of awe and wonder about the vastness of human creativity and achievement. We recognise that academic achievement alone is not enough and provide a progressive Enrichment Curriculum as well as an ambitious Academic Curriculum. Both are underpinned by our school mission to provide ‘Education on another level, where possibilities are endless’ and instil this in all our pupils now, and for their future.

Due to Crown Street Primary's unique location, there is no parking on site. However, there are Pay & Display bays on the surrounding roads of Great Jackson Street, which is where Crown Street Primary School is located. Public transport is excellent, with Crown Street Primary School being a 7-minute walk from Deansgate Train Station and Deansgate-Castlefield Tram Stop. We also offer interest free loans for the purchase of annual travel tickets.

For further details on the role, including key skills and experience required, please see the Job Description and Person Specification attached below.
