Your Role:

As Senior Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of children across school, ensuring they thrive in a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting Teaching and Learning: Assisting the class teacher in delivering creative, hands-on lessons aligned with the curriculum.

Individual and Small Group Support: Working with individual children and small groups to provide tailored support, ensuring all learners are engaged and achieving their potential.

Creating a Stimulating Environment: Helping to prepare and maintain a dynamic and engaging classroom environment, including setting up activities and managing resources.

Observation and Assessment: Observing children’s progress, recording key achievements, and contributing to assessments.

Encouraging Independence: Supporting children in developing key life skills such as personal hygiene, social interaction, and problem-solving.

Promoting Inclusion and Wellbeing: Building positive relationships with children, fostering an inclusive ethos, and ensuring every child feels valued and supported.

About You:

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated individual with the following attributes:

Qualifications and Experience:

o NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent (essential).

o Previous experience working within a primary school.

Skills and Knowledge:

o Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, children, and parents.

o A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

o Creativity and enthusiasm to contribute to a vibrant, interactive learning environment.

Personal Qualities:

o A patient and empathetic approach to working with children.

o A passion for early childhood education and a belief in the importance of these foundational years.

o A proactive attitude, ready to step in and support wherever needed.
