The role:
Location: Ermine Academy, Lincoln
Salary Scale: Scale 4, Points 7-11 £26,403 - 28,142 (Actual)
37 hours per week/52 weeks per year;
We are happy to discuss working patterns to suit both the school and the successful candidate; this may include the option of split shifts depending on your preference
Reports to: Principal

What does a Site Assistant do?
You will be the backbone of our school’s physical environment, ensuring the site is secure, clean, and fully compliant with safety standards. You are there to ensure that the "stage is set" for learning to happen safely every single dayKey Responsibilities:
Site Security & Access: Act as a key holder, managing site access for staff, pupils, and contractors while conducting regular security inspections.
Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out DIY repairs, seasonal maintenance, and upkeep of the building infrastructure and grounds using appropriate tools and machinery.
Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct daily inspections, monitor utility services (heating, water, fire safety), and maintain digital records via the 'Every' reporting system.
Environment & Cleaning: Undertake emergency cleaning and supervise cleaning staff to ensure all communal, teaching, and office areas meet our high standards.
The Person: What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a Site Assistant who takes pride in their work and understands that a well-maintained school is vital for student success in addition to;
Qualifications: Training in Health & Safety (Lifting/Handling) or COSHH is highly desirable as is GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
Experience: You should have practical DIY skills and experience in building maintenance or site security. Experience working in an educational or industrial environment is a significant advantage.
Skills: You possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work unsupervised using your own initiative.
Tech Savvy: Ability to use information technology to update records, manage digital safety logs, and communicate effectively with Trust colleagues
