What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Key Stage 2 teacher to join us at our school in Great Yarmouth, Bure Park Specialist Academy.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to be part of a highly motivated team and be involved in a unique and dynamic teaching experience that will build and shape an entire school community. We are looking for people who strive for success and are creative, innovative and reflective educators to provide the best school experience for our pupils.
What the school offers its staff
This is a newly built residential special school for boys with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs. It will, over its first three years, grow to 88 pupils. We are looking to appoint a primary teacher to join the existing wonderful team that makes up the primary department. The age range and arrangements of these new classes will be determined by the places offered over the coming months.
The primary department at Bure Park is a beacon of excellence. Progress of primary pupils is usually well above national expectations and the collegiate approach to learning ensures superb outcomes academically, socially and behaviourally. Given that pupils arrive with disrupted educational experiences and complex difficulties the successful candidate will be part of an exceptional organisation that quite simply changes children’s lives.
Bure Park is also a residential provision for pupils between Year 4 and Year 8. The multi-disciplinary team consists of Care Staff, Teachers and TAs who facilitate the school’s twin aims of re-integrating pupils into their home environment and when appropriate mainstream school.
Our Academies share the vision of the Broad Horizons Education Trust, that improving the life chances of all pupils has to be at the heart of all we do. To achieve this Broad Horizons firmly believes in valuing and championing all members of staff employed throughout the trust. As part of our team you will have the opportunity to receive high quality, bespoke training for SEND, SEMH and therapeutic interventions. We offer our staff a comprehensive CPD and Wellbeing Package, cycle to work and tech schemes.
Commitment to safeguarding
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.
Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
