Primary Teacher job summary
At Carclaze, our mission is simple yet powerful: Curious Minds, Kind Hearts, Bright Futures. These words capture our commitment to inspiring a love of learning, nurturing compassion, and equipping every child with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life.
We are a large, two-form entry primary school set in a stunning location with sweeping views over St Austell Bay and the Gribben Daymark. Our modern site provides light, spacious classrooms and plenty of open space — a welcoming environment where children can explore, grow and thrive.
Our school is built on four core values: Care, Communicate, Persevere, Sparkle, which underpin everything we do. They guide our teaching, shape our relationships and help every child become the very best version of themselves.
Reading lies at the heart of our curriculum and our culture. We are passionate about developing a lifelong love of reading, and our vibrant library - situated in the heart space of our school - is a hub of curiosity, imagination and discovery.
We are seeking a primary teacher:
- to be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils within their class, ensuring equality of opportunity for every learner
- to be accountable for maintaining the highest possible standards of work and professional conduct, treating learners with dignity and fostering relationships rooted in mutual respect while upholding appropriate professional boundaries
The role requires proactive and effective collaboration with learners, parents/carers, governors, colleagues, and external agencies to promote the best interests of learners.
Fixed term until 31 August 2026.
Cornwall Education Learning Trust is an equal opportunities employer and is also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
