Primary Teacher job summary

We wish to appoint an experienced and motivational primary teacher to teach years 1-6, and lead the development of the subject areas. You will be required to have a history of good to outstanding record of managing pupils with SEMH and ensuring good progress. This is a particularly challenging role and the successful candidate must be committed to creating a positive learning environment no matter what barriers they may face. You will need a high level of resilience and a commitment to working in an emotionally intelligent team to support vulnerable children. Suitable candidates will: Ideally have experience of working in a PRU or Alternative Provision with learners with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs or SEND, (although mainstream experience only would be considered). • Be committed and have a passion for their specific area/s and achieving high standards in their work and high expectations for behaviour and learning. • Be flexible, cheerful and enjoy working with children, parents and staff. • Be able and willing to form a positive relationship with pupils in order to support their personal and social development in accordance with the school’s guideline • Be consistent, calm and a reflective practitioner with a growth mind-set
