Primary Teaching Assistant, Early Years / KS1 job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to work across our Early Years and Key Stage 1 phases at Appleton Academy.
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with senior leaders, Class Teachers and existing Teaching Assistants to support and develop the learning and attainment of all pupils, whilst promoting independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion. This can take place within the classroom or working with small groups of children, or working with children on a one to one basis. The successful candidate will also be passionate about supporting our children and young people to learn and thrive, whilst having a natural ability to inspire and motivate all pupils to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will:
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (Supporting Teaching & Learning) or equivalent qualifications or experience)
- Hold a GCSE English and Maths Level C or above or equivalent
- Have experience of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage and supporting children's learning development.
- Be dedicated to sharing responsibilities for raising standards
- Enjoy a collaborative style approach to working and learning
- Have a strong commitment to ensuring excellent pupil progress
- Hold knowledge of successful strategies for assessing and raising pupils' achievement
