We have an exciting opportunity to join the central team here at Astrea to join our Multi Academy Trust.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our evolving procurement team. This is an ideal position for someone who is a team player, has a positive attitude and understands the importance of providing effective administration support in a fast paced environment.

Procurement administration support plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of an organisation’s purchasing activities. This support involves handling administrative tasks such as processing purchase orders, maintaining accurate records of transactions, coordinating with suppliers and schools to ensure compliance with procurement policies. The chosen candidate will also assist in the preparation of tender documentation, award notices, contract management and resolve any discrepancies in invoices or deliveries.

A confident manner, a cheerful outlook and a sound work ethic are essential; an interest in purchasing would be desirable but not strictly necessary.

What we are looking for

  • Hard working individual preferably with an administrative background.
  • Strong organisational skills, the ability to multi task, maintain accurate records.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, strong verbal and written communication is essential.
  • Effective time management, prioritising tasks and managing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
