What skills and experience we're looking for
1. Qualifications / Training / Experience
Good general education to level 4 or equivalent and must have GCSE English and Maths Grade C/4 or better.
Experience of demonstrating genuine care and respect for the continued progress, achievement, and well-being of students.
Demonstrate confidence and competence with IT.
Mental Health First Aid Qualified
2. Skills and Aptitudes
Demonstrate effective communication both verbally and in writing.
Possess effective team working skills.
Ability to use initiative to find solutions to varying situations.
Enthusiasm and an ability to build positive relationships with young people.
Ability to liaise effectively with managers and external agencies.
High levels of personal organisation.
Ability to successfully manage competing demands and prioritise workload appropriately.

Based at Thomas Rotherham College, we are recruiting two positions to support student development, including academic progress, personal growth, and wellbeing. Successful candidates will monitor attendance and progress, provide guidance and support, and deliver group tutorials and individual mentoring.
