About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Psychology Teacher to join Heron Hall Academy. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inclusive Psychology lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking and academic success. They will create a positive and supportive learning environment where all pupils are challenged to achieve their full potential.

The role involves planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing and monitoring pupil progress, and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners. The successful candidate will contribute to the wider life of the academy through pastoral support, enrichment activities and collaboration with colleagues, while promoting high standards of achievement, behaviour and attendance.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and dedicated Psychology Teacher who is passionate about inspiring young people and achieving excellent outcomes for all pupils.

The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a degree in Psychology (or a related discipline) and a recognised teaching qualification. They will have experience teaching Psychology at secondary level, with strong subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of GCSE and A Level specifications and assessment requirements.

You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs and use assessment effectively to drive progress. Experience supporting pupils with SEND, EAL and other additional needs is essential, alongside a commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour, achievement and wellbeing.

We are looking for someone who is collaborative, organised and committed to continuous professional development. You will share our high expectations, embrace innovation in teaching and learning, and actively contribute to the wider life of the academy through pastoral support, enrichment opportunities and positive engagement with pupils, families and colleagues.
