Pupil and Family Engagement Lead job summary

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Pupil and Family Engagement Lead to join our primary school team. This is a key role focused on improving pupil outcomes by strengthening relationships between school and home, supporting families, and removing barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will also take on the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and lead on whole-school attendance, working closely with pupils, families, and external agencies to ensure every child has the best opportunity to succeed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children and families in a school or community setting
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection (DDSL experience desirable)
  • Experience or confidence in leading attendance improvement work
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive, resilient, and solution-focused approach
