We are an open and inclusive primary school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. Our nursery is open to children aged 3 to 4 years and is where our youngest pupils begin their educational journey. Located in the garrison town of Larkhill, Wiltshire, our setting aims to spark interest, ignite a passion for learning and fire up ambition to inspire every child to recognise and exceed expectations. Our staff provide a challenging, yet nurturing, environment based on our Christian values and we are committed to learning outside the classroom, as much as inside; with regular trips planned and visitors invited in to help make the learning relevant and linked to both our local community and the wider world. In May 2022, we joined Acorn Education Trust, which has provided exciting opportunities to improve local education and draw on collective experience.
As a Pupil Parent Support worker, you will be required to provide a range of support to our children and their families, helping to address any challenges and improve outcomes. This may include helping children with SEN needs, behavioral, emotional and social development and communication skills, while also supporting parents with parenting techniques, family issues and providing advice on how to access to other support services.

- Enjoys working with children and can develop positive working relationships with them;

- Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
- Has previous experience in supporting children / families, including those from military families;
- Has knowledge / experience of military life (or is willing to learn about it);
- Is a strong team player, who is able to work effectively with our hardworking team on whole school issues;
- Is dedicated, self-motivated and consistent;
- Is an active listener with the ability to be sympathetic and supportive, but firm when needed;
- Is committed to improving the life chances of all children;
- Has experience working with young people with SEND / behaviour needs (desirable);
- Is willing to learn and attend relevant training.
We can offer the successful candidate:
- An ambitious and vibrant place to work, with enthusiastic children and staff who are passionate about learning;
- A workplace where everyone feels valued and supported;
- Opportunities for training and progression;
- The support of Acorn Education Trust, with excellent opportunities to work with experienced colleagues;
