Pupil and Young Person Supervisor job summary

A lunchtime supervisor is required to work in our school helping with supervising children over lunchtime including serving meals to them. You will be required to help and support whilst they eat lunch and then supervise playtime. This post is fixed until 31st August 2027. There is potential for this post to be extended.

You will be required to work 11.45am to 1.15pm Monday to Friday - Term time only - 7.5 hours per week.

Post Specification:

Duties will include, assisting children in the dining room with their meals, supervising the children on the playground, encouraging play and ensuring that they have a safe and happy lunchtime. You will be expected to work across the school with pupils from all year groups. .

Requirements:

  • a confident and positive manner

  • able to organise and lead activities

  • an understanding of working with children

  • able to work well with children and adults and work as part of a team

Hours:

7.5 hours per week, term time only
