The Role - Pupil Learning Centre Lead Teacher

Pupil Learning Centre Lead Teacher
We are seeking an exceptional, dynamic, and experienced teacher to take a key leadership role within our Pupil Learning Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about driving high-quality teaching, personalised learning, and positive outcomes for pupils with diverse needs.
As Lead Teacher, you will oversee the day-to-day leadership and strategic development of the Centre, working closely with the Headteacher/Executive Headteacher. This is a role for someone who can combine excellent classroom practice with strategic vision, curriculum innovation, and strong interpersonal leadership.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead the effective operation of the Pupil Learning Centre, ensuring a safe, inclusive and purposeful learning environment.

Model outstanding teaching and learning and support colleagues to deliver high-quality provision.

Develop and implement a tailored curriculum that meets pupil needs and supports progress.

Line-manage and mentor support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Oversee pastoral care, behaviour support, and individual learning plans to ensure each pupil thrives academically and personally.

Work closely with senior leaders and external partners to raise the profile and impact of the Centre.

Has substantial teaching experience with demonstrable impact on pupil progress.

Has experience working with pupils with additional, SEMH, or alternative provision needs (desirable).

Can lead, inspire, and develop a team with clarity and confidence.

Is highly organised, reflective, and able to drive improvement.

Brings a genuine commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
You Will:
- Be an effective practitioner with the ability and desire to improve their practice
- Have high expectations of yourself and others
- Have a proven record of working in a nursery/EYFS environment
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be highly organised, motivated and flexible with the ability to inspire and challenge children
- Be able to promote the vision and values of the school, demonstrating high professional standards.
- Recognised Level 3 qualification in childcare
