The Role

In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing our Pupil Services Academic Zone—an area designed to support pupils who face barriers to learning.

Working closely with the SENDCO and other members of the Pastoral Team you will implement and lead targeted intervention programmes aimed at supporting pupils to overcome challenges and reintegrate successfully into the mainstream curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Pupil Services Academic Zone.

  • Deliver bespoke academic and behavioural support programmes for pupils referred by the SENDCO.

  • Lead small group and 1:1 evidence-informed interventions tailored to pupil needs.

  • Support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) through individualised programmes.

  • Monitor and report on pupil progress and the impact of interventions.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver formalised support plans.

  • Support in screening pupils for potential SEND needs.

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive individual who:

  • Has experience working with pupils with SEND and/or behavioural needs for a minimum of 2 years.

  • Holds a relevant qualification to a minimum level of 3 e.g. CACHE.

  • Understands how to develop supportive and inclusive learning environments.

  • Can confidently lead and deliver structured intervention programmes.

  • Is organised, resilient, and committed to pupil welfare and progress.
