About You:
Caister Academy are seeking someone who enjoys working with young people and takes pride in helping them grow. Patience, positivity, and the ability to build trusting relationships will be at the heart of how you work.
You’ll bring experience from an educational setting and feel comfortable supporting learning in a variety of ways, whether that’s guiding a student 1:1, leading a small group, or helping a teacher create an inclusive and purposeful classroom. You’ll be organised, adaptable, and ready to take initiative, while also knowing when to seek guidance from colleagues. Above all, you’ll be someone who wants to make a meaningful difference - supporting vulnerable learners, championing inclusion, and contributing to a team that puts students at the centre of everything it does.
Our Ideal candidate will have:
- GCSE English and Maths, minimum Grade 4 or equivalent
- Proven experience working in an educational environment
- Ability to use initiative and apply sound decision-making skills
- High expectations of self and others

About the Mathematics Department:
The Mathematics Department is a supportive and collaborative team of seven teachers, soon to be eight with the addition of a Raising Achievement Mentor. The team includes a Head of Department, Lead Practitioner, Director of Interventions and dedicated classroom teachers, all working together to deliver a high‑quality, Creative Education Trust co‑designed curriculum supported by strong in‑house resources.
We are committed to staff development, with potential pathways into Initial Teacher Training for the right candidate. Students benefit from a rich mathematical experience beyond the classroom, including trips to Bletchley Park and the Royal Observatory, as well as participation in UK Mathematics Trust challenges.
